Staff Spotlight: Corinne Johnson

counseling group

Our counseling program ensures that kids are happy at school, they do well, and they feel safe.

Corinne is the director of counseling programs for Holy Cross Ministries. She works with over 1,000 students at four Catholic schools in the Salt Lake Valley. She and a group of volunteers teach classes on social skills and violence prevention, and offer group and individual counseling.

Corinne and HCM have been working in these schools for over ten years, so teachers, children, and parents are comfortable and familiar with them. "When children have a crisis in their life," says Corinne, "they get to go talk to someone they already know instead of going to a stranger, and this is a real strength of our program."
